KPI 20

Contributed to dialogue between relevant Danish authorities and the five social media platforms used most by children and youth in Denmark.

The wellbeing and safety of Danish children and young people are of constant concern to the Danish government. The Tech Embassy holds a strong ongoing dialogue with the biggest tech platforms in Silicon Valley, and have often built upon the constructive day-to-day dialogue with them, to host Danish Ministers visiting Silicon Valley.

The protection of children and young people in an increasingly digital age, is a high priority across several Danish ministries, and civil society organizations. The Tech Embassy has on several occasions bridged immediate communications between those parties and local platforms, in order to mitigate immediate and pressing risks (See KPI 4 & 21). Furthermore, the established and ongoing dialogue support our efforts to bring forth core Danish values in tech innovations, which in turn ensure the protection of children (See KPI 5).
