Delivered concrete policy proposals for the development of a well-defined and active tech foreign policy for the EU.
Denmark holds a unique position in both Silicon Valley, and in tech adoption and usage. Still, Denmark is a proud member of the EU, and benefit greatly from the collective efforts of the union. As the recent years has seen a steep rise in the attention to the role tech platforms and products hold in EU citizens’ everyday lives, the need for collective legislative efforts is obvious. Denmark is proud to cooperate with the EU itself, and its member states, to not only educate the foundation for the foreign policy of the EU, but also to bring the concerns and thoughts from it, in our ongoing close work with the industry.
Denmark holds a close and mutually beneficial relationship with the EU’s representation in San Francisco, and have co-hosted several events.Key Achievements and Results
- EU Digital Diplomacy: Spearheaded the work of establishing a digital diplomacy in the EU. Through an ambitious vision, Denmark received unequivocal support from all 27 member states. Today, the result of this is a stronger EU in international tech affairs, in the UN and in critical dialogue with the tech industry.
