The strategic placement of the tech embassy in Silicon Valley serves as a cornerstone for gathering and reporting on critical insights on technological and geopolitical developments likely to influence Denmark. As the time between major technological breakthroughs shortens, engaging with both the industrial ecosystems where these innovations occur, and the political environments that receive them, becomes ever more crucial.
Key Achievements & Results
- Informed Danish Digital Policy: Annually produced approximately 20 diplomatic cables and analyses on crucial tech policy issues, doubling our commitment to deliver at least 10 contributions each year. These insights have been pivotal to developing Danish digital policy, and furthering Denmark’s position in multilateral projects. The reports are the result of our engagement with the global tech industry, civil society, and governments. Emerging technologies such as (generative) artificial intelligence, quantum computing, biotech and more, have further increased the need for relaying local insights back home to the central Danish government.
