KPI 16
Technology has become an integral part of political and armed conflicts, and the innovations employed have become less tangible than the armour and bullets of yesteryear. In these years, a close cooperation with local industry spearheading the efforts of dual-use technologies, and the research leading to responsible de-escalation of armed conflicts globally, is more important than ever.
On behalf of NATO and the EU, Denmark in Silicon Valley has established several meetings and cooperations with Silicon Valley industry-leaders, and American political bodies engaging in such efforts.
The establishing of NATO DIANA, the NATO Innovation Fund, EU Dual Use-legislation and more, are important efforts to safeguard Denmark and the EU. The Tech Embassy has an ongoing and close cooperation with both local industry, and the European governing bodies, in order to promote an educated, current and vigilant engagement with defence- and dual-use technologies.
